im sure they would have gone with regular sized gloves if Mayweather didn’t need drugs in his hands (a big reason for having it in vegas over any other state) and the ring size is beneficial to BOTH their styles of fighting. The only barrier was the olympic style drug testing, which IMO, and most other people’s opinion is idiotic… what gives mayweather the authority to dictate new Boxing rules?

wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong… he did NOT and has NEVER done the olympic drug test, this is a test yes. but substances that a person of pacquiaos wealth can afford wont show up on these tests, a OLYMPIC blood test will show any substances, pacquiao refused to do so – im not saying hes on something im just saying the facts, he refused to do the olympic, it seems as tho he could be on something very complex and expensive.

manny has won 7 division world titles!!, still accusing him of steroids he has proven that he is the best!! 7 wrld titles ftw!!!, and he even agreed to take blood sample AFTER the fight!! whats the diference with post and pre “getting-of-blood samples”?? still can detect steroids or anything even in post… im a nurse i know that… GAYWEATHer is a big pussyyy!!!!

Clottey isnt active enough to beat a top fighter, its as simple as that. Cotto beat clottey pretty comfortably with a terrible cut around his eye. He could hardly still and wasnt really in danger of losing it. clottey will stand there, not move and just cover up- wont be very interesting at all

Pac had a problem with the blood drain DAYS before the fight, roach said so. He had no problem with ‘weeks before the fight’. He was even quoted as saying they would agree if it was 5 days before the fight.
mayweather offered 14 days before the fight! and they said no. Simple as that.

Any type of testing, weather blood or urine, Should only happen 30 days before and right after a fight. Why? Because a promoter would not put up $10,000,000 or more promoting a fight if there is the possibility a fight would be cancelled at the last minute if someone turns up positive. A promoter needs an assurance that an event will take place. Love him or hate him, but that’s what Bob Arum have been trying to say all along. Without the Promoters money , you have no fight. simple.

in water they can put a steroids without knowing,in topping gloves they can put a some illegal dusts that might hurt opponent eyes! so pacman camp must be vigilant to all this kind of dirty taktiks,.coz he is popular bad elmnts can do anything just to see him down..only my opinion.

@Devega: First of all, Im no Mayweather fan. I was just pointing out Pac’s proposition and I thought it was all fair game. Floyd and his crackhead family know that Pac has had bad experience with his blood drawn weeks before a fight so I guess they wanted to capitalize on that.

@CynicaL0Laughter …yes right after a fight, in the middle of the ring 4 all 2 see. it’s better. blood plasma is down, concentrating all substances including steroids & even the vitamins he takes can B seen in the test.
