Hey Clinton – chest looks great! I had a question for you, my bf is about the same age as you and is about 6 wks postop right now – how long did your rib flare last? Also, did you experience back pain, if so what did you do to deal – besides the pain killers? Thanks for these videos, they’ve really helped us with his recovery!!!

I have this too. Now i am 3 weeks after and its day after day better. Worst of it is that i cant laugh. I am from Czech republic and the surgery was in Prague Motol Hospital

Man, your chest looks great! I had the surgery when I was 22 about 6 years ago. Just wanted to say, I totally know what you are going through when you gasp in pain by simply lifting your brace… Man it can really hurt sometimes. After 6 years I still hurt when I do repetitive motions with my arms (Bowling, raking leaves, etc). Actually ended up in the ER after bowling and drinking a little too much beer. Hang in there brother! Again, you chest looks great!

a pullover is a corrective and a bodybuilding exercise surely you’ll find an instructional video on the matter if you look it up. By belt i meant an ordinary non-notched belt made out of textile fibers (not the leather ones) you can wrap around you over the most protruding part of your ribs and it will act like a women’s corset. you don’t have to wear it forever just a little while and you’ll probably feel a bit of pain in your ribs as they are subsiding beneath the muscle.good luck

Like 60% man. Still in a lot of pain. Hurts to breathe at times. Still get very fatigued easily.

How do you do a pullover? Also, what do you mean by a belt? I have heard of a brace to push the ribs back but thats about it.

I couldnt control my ab muscles and rib flare.
February 9th, 2010 at 8:12 am
is it me or your ribs are still flaring out that’s something that most of the times accompanies pectus i was able to make em retract to normal position with the help of pullovers (thank you arnold) and using a belt which i wore tight around my ribs for about 2 weeks or so u should try that when you feel better you’re gonna love it
February 9th, 2010 at 9:11 am
how come youre belly is bigger
February 9th, 2010 at 10:02 am
I’m thinking about getting this segury do you think they have this in Canada? And does it fix your flared ribs?
February 9th, 2010 at 10:08 am
I have moderate (i think) PE and my flaring looks like your post-op flaring. I am trying to fix the flaring as the hole doesn’t bother me as much but I am doing it naturally, as I’m very into bodybuilding and I think I can fix it that way. I’ll let you know how it goes, with before and after pictures and stuff, sometime.
