I am a pharmacist and brother, you are ignorant…ADD/ADHD perhaps may be caused by our food supply (gluten, dairy, etc…) or some other reason but it does exist. There are several papers written by a New Zealand pediatrician which demonstrates that undiagnosed gluten sensitivity or celiac disease is a major source for ADD/ADHD. This guy is a sham.

  2. ncaltruist Says:

This guy is fucking idiot. I’m sorry. He doesn’t know what the hell he is talking about.

  3. ivanova88 Says:

adhd is real but you shouldn’t be drugged for it.

  4. nezapamatovatelne Says:

ADHD nearly killed me. Without pills I simply don’t exist. I don’t feel myself. That’s nothing but the truth.

  5. phelps12345678 Says:

I was born with a chemical imbalance in the brain and discovered at 25 years old. As a child, I wet the bed, had frequent ear infections, somatic pains, excessive tantrums, sleep problems. During Adolescence the tantrums/outbursts were not normal. I didn’t know how to control my inhibitions as well as others. During adulthood it became uncontrollable until I was diagnosed. My implicit ADHD was never recognized as there was and still is no expertise in my homeland Ireland. ADHD is genuine.

  6. BuickGirl1986 Says:

ADHD is bull. It is just kids being kids. i am 23 and I have never been able to focus. Studying is boring playing is fun. Being upset or sad is normal. Fix what is making you sad not get on meds.I have an exfriend who had a rough childhood but she swears she is bipolor. Ever think maybe you had a sucky life and you just have to deal. I had the same kind of life I deal. Also these people arnt running off at the mouth, THERE LISTING FACTS. Quit being so ignorant.

  7. biporio Says:

Psychiatry prescribe heavy, lethal drugs to mental illness they can’t prove it exists. Period. Anything is else is just talking.

  8. biporio Says:

@threadysparrow My friend, you have no idea how funny is to watch everybody having the same behavior pattern. “It is because it is”.

Where this is chemcial analysis? Show us.

  9. threadysparrow Says:

@biporio its dopamine because IT IS DOPAMINE.

its not like we just say it.

we see it in chemical analysis. its dopamine. how can someone be any more clear than that?

  10. threadysparrow Says:

anyone who listens to this quack should realize how stupid they are.

thousands and thousands of empirical scientific studies vs. one guy and his opinion.

you are allowing his authority in the field of neurology to cloud your judgment.

he has that MD behind his name and you are seeing it as gospel.

if ADHD isnt real, am i a liar for saying i have it? i have seen myself off ritalin and i choose to stay on ritalin because it gives me peace of mind and a fighting chance at life.

  11. ToKnowAndBeKnown Says:

They put me on Ritalin, then i couldn’t sleep, then they put me on Risperdal, month after month they kept increasing the dosages as my brain became more tolerant, my affect was becoming more flattened, my ability to focus diminishing, i skipped lunch most days didn’t feel hungry, after about a year i was recognized as being depressed, at nighttime my body would convulse and I’d cry in physical and emotional agony, i didn’t know why. Then they prescribed me Prozac. Sound bad? It only got worse.

  12. biporio Says:

Repeat indefinitely something doesn’t makes it true. Keep saying “it’s dopamine” doesn’t make it actually is if you don’t have any proof.

  13. rocksoliddude1 Says:

psychotronic weapons and DEWS can produce synthetic mental illnesses and ADHD.

  14. OpenComments Says:

“There’s only one remedy for crime — get rid of the psychs! They are causing it!”
    L. Ron Hubbard, HCOB of 6 May 1982 “The Cause of Crime”

The Church of Scientology blames Psychiatry for the rise of Hitler and Stalin, World War 2, the Holocaust, the attack on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Centre on 9/11, the Virginia Tech shootings, and other international tragedies.

  15. dihle12 Says:

    its all fake

  16. Hollywoodsteve Says:

These idiot Scientologists will stop at nothing to further their agenda about psychology. Willfull ignorance at its very worst.

  17. kfordjake75 Says:

He says there was no such thing as add back then…it was called DYSPEPSIA. Look up the symptoms and the parallels with add and chronic fatigue. It is more prevalent now because of fluoridation (according to some sources). There is almost no fluoridation in Europe. Thus, almost no add cases in Europe. However, he right to say the pharmaceutical companies. are pushing pills. If he suffered from this, he wouldn’t consider it to be fictitious. One can make money off of books, too.

  18. spentonmediocrity Says:

I am less able to shut out outside distraction(I am very easily distracted),I am less able to stay focused on rote lessons on matters less than interesting to myself.I become physically sleepy where others can maintain attention with ease.

All that is true yet I have a voracious appetite for knowledge in matters that interest me,I am not lacking intellect or curiosity whatsoever.

I simply have an attention variant that was most likely an asset in hunter gather populations.

  19. spentonmediocrity Says:

Before you call me narrow minded I’ll have you know I possess original, and highly plausible, theories involving so called ADD.There is not enough room to lay them out in the space allotted.
I only use the term because nobody knows of my own term. But yes,I think ADD/ADHD are misnomers.

Not only unscientific is the term ADD but it’s applied recklessly and ignorantly by so called professionals to a variety of different and unrelated conditions.

  20. spentonmediocrity Says:

Red herring.Listen to yourself, reality does hinge not on the human interpretation of proof on anything.Open minded people think in terms of likelyhood and odds.

I’m not here to “prove” anything but to suggest that there IS an observable spectrum when it comes to one’s attention level for continual didactic tasking.

I don’t subscribe to the term ADD ,my views are a good deal more complex than that.I see it as an attention variant but a variant none the less.

  21. MrXSpeaks Says:

    @EmilyGreene1984

I think you are a complete phony.

no one goes to medical school thinking that psychiatry, a branch of medicine taught in medical schools, is a fraud.

    no way.

no one should pay attention to anything you post

  22. EmilyGreene1984 Says:

Of course, there would be many people out of business – but if you knew a business to be a fraud, would you rather it continue under false pretenses? I highly doubt it. As a medical student, I have done my research also in regards to psychiatry and psychology for the past 10years and my statement has been backed up with evidence by qualified clinical professionals as well as their personal testimonies. I wonder then, since you don’t take anyone’s word for granted regarding this…

  23. MrXSpeaks Says:

    @EmilyGreene1984

there are an awfull lot of Pyschiatrists that would be out of business if that were true and also no mental illness would benefit from drugs.

I find it hard to believe you are a medical student saying such things.

and yes, I have researched this topic and I don’t have to take anyones word for any of it.

there are always con artists trying to prey on people who are in denial or paranoid about drug companies.

  24. EmilyGreene1984 Says:

That test where it claimed you have a deficiency caused by dopamine – was it conducted before or after you took drugs to help with your condition. If it was after, than the result you see within your brain is NOT ADD. It is the result of the chemical alterations going on within your brain in the dopamine.

  25. EmilyGreene1984 Says:

    That’s right. :)
