Hendrix argued in his trial defense that the drugs were slipped into his bag by a fan without his knowledge, and he was acquitted.Hendrix admits he has used pot, hashish, LSD, and cocaine a handful of times. But he tells the judge he has outgrown drugs. The jury, presumably unfamiliar with Hendrixs catalog, finds him not guilty.

    According to Brund Blum, in his biography of Lou Reed titled “Electric Dandy”, Jimi attended a Velvet Underground performance in New York in 1966.

    Jimi did play with Lou Reed. I have it on an old reel to reel. They performed Ice Ice Baby together in 1977 in Chicago, Louisiana.
