20 YEARS after BLOODSPORT: The Result JEAN-CLAUDE VANDAMME
READ MORE HERE : 20 YEARS after {BLOODSPORT} (1988) here is {The Shepherd: Border Patrol} (2008) In the 2008 release of “The Shepherd”, Van Damme plays Jack Robideaux, a former New Orleans homicide detective whose teenage daughter died when given illegal drugs. Van Damme thus has a private motive to take revenge on the Mexican drug trade. He joins the Border Patrol working underground as a brooding loner. The movie places a unique spotlight on the compounding problems of both the drug trade as well as the immigration crisis plaguing the Mexican and US borders. The Shepherd is directed by Isaac Florentine (Special Forces and US Seals 2), but in a surprise twist, the US Special Force team rather then engaged to take down terrorist – are themselves “the terrorists” running drugs across the Mexican and US borders! The movie shows Stephen Lord, who plays “Benjamin Myers” commanding a Special Force operation first in Afghanistan where he apparently make business contact with Afghanistan warlords engaged in drug trafficking. Lord has a minor role, but his right hand man is Scott Adkins playing the role of “Karp”. Adkins is the glue that pulls both the movie’s action and Van Damme’s ire to the climatic fight scene. The Shepherd features Van Damme returning after a long absence to his role as an “action hero”; there are certain reasonable limitations placed on the fight scenes, which appear to be more realistic, shorter, and more rugged. But Van Damme is back in shape, doing all …

jcvd didnt get kicked out of the movie industry retards – his movies just started to go to dvd release instead of cinima.

He sucks… You retard.
He got kicked out movie industry. His acting skills is way below than paris hilton acting skills. Plus he sues everyone for a breach contract.
JVCD is one of those cheapass guys like baseball on steriods, music lip synching, Tom Cruise jumping on the coach, etc.
He can’t act professional. Waste of Life.

The film you are refering to is called Karate. And I have done my research , and sadly its not going to be squeal to bloodpsort.

I think what he’s looking for is that when you look at the title it makes us think JCVD is making a new Bloodsport movie 20 years after the first one.
I think a better title might be JCVD: 20 Years After Bloodsport. It might be a minor difference but IMO better.
March 18th, 2010 at 3:56 pm
what is the name of first song?!! please?
March 18th, 2010 at 4:21 pm
He is unfortunately old now. Very sad to say like this. I remember one of his best movies Double Impact and that one was cool in 1991.
I think brand new actions got less charm than those of 80-s and early 90-s. Just my personal point of view.

honestly to me van damme needs to step his game up,he hasnt done anything that has amused ppl,the split kick was nice, but his moves are too predictable and doesnt coporate much hand technique

You people must have noticed that our hero, JC got proper man handled by scott adkins..never seen before in other final fights of JC. And people are sayin scott is better. This fight was unfair. JC was wounded @ the start of the fight. Scott had thrown a grenade @ him.
He couldnt even see anthing. He was hurt. Scott was already in a fresh fit to fight where JC was in a bloddy mess and slowed down cuz of it. Thats why Scott kicked his ass! Unfair fight !

True

He declined the offer bcuz was he was claiming that there was no substance in his character. And he is now being more carefull in choosing the right films, but this would have been a good opportunity for JCVD to return to the real mvoies. All movies he does are straight to videos nower days.

Yo hold up he never made cameo in the expandables did he.. I know he declined the offer bcuz was he was claiming that there was no substance in his character.

So did Scott actually have anything to do with his daughters death.., or is JC just taking all his Frustrations out on him ..
March 18th, 2010 at 9:11 pm
its his doughter in the film, who died abusing drugs. JC is remembering her daughter because Scott is a drug dealer in the film, so thats why he’s feeling revenge by hitting him, to revenge his daughter’s death.
By the way, its the real daughter of Van Damme in that scene. Her real name is Bianca Van Varenberg.
