Question by : abuse at alcoholics anonymous?
a close relative of mine was sexually abused over many years and has trouble with predatory men. She has an alcohol problem and goes to alcoholics anonymous. A member of many years (35 in fact) made a pass at her and it has caused her to go back to binging. AA was where she felt safe and now it is no longer so. she was doing really well too. Any suggestions?

binge eating is ok depending on what you eat. Veggies plain uncooked are great for this. Also fruits. Add in mostly fat free low calorie snacks. Also get at least 30 minutes of excersize a day but don’t overdue it. If all else fails talk to your doctor about it.

Question by Phil A: If alcoholism can be considered a mental illness, why don’t smokers think they are mentally ill ?
Seeing as we we know now just how bad nicotine tar and smoking is for you, how come smokers kid themselves that they are not mentally ill ?
I have known about at least a dozen people with mental illnesses and they all smoked except one, and many chain smoked too.
I hope one day cigarettes with be banned from sale alltogether and save many lives. Governments have a lot to answer for in the meantime.

It only works for those who go voluntarily. If you don’t think you have a problem, nothing is going to help. If you do, there are other programs that can help – where people go because they want to NOT because they have to.

I went to AA and it was retarded.People just bitching and moaning about how they made terrible decisions over and over and over again. Then they say a bunch of BS about how God saved them.

Probably someone was trolling and took offense for some reason to the question and did some reporting. Doesn’t make sense to me but that’s the way it is around here.

Question by Bella: How would a binge effect my weight loss?
Today I have eaten healthy main meals, but my snacks have consisted off chocolate chip cookies, crackers, chocolate and an ice cream.
I still have all the motivation to continue with my healthy diet and exercise routine, but I was wondering if my binging on snacks today would have a significant impact on my weight loss plan? If it has a big impact, how should I recover?
Best answer:
Answer by Me
nah it’s not the end of the world. All things in moderation, so ideally just do one or a few of those a day, but it’s not a biggy every now and then. Life’s short
If you want to “recover” you could just go easy on the sweets for a day or two.

Question by ☆skyblue: Why are alcoholic drinks so expensive in restaurants?
My friend and I went to TGIFridays last night and our drinks were .19 a piece! I had a mudslide and my friend had a frozen strawberry daiquiri. The drinks were not very big and there were no prices on the drink menu. We were shocked when we got the bill. A few years ago, I used to go to TGIFridays all the time and the same size mudslide was , and it wasn’t during happy hour. Why are alcoholic drinks so expensive now?
